The Jewel of North Sardinia
The La Maddalena archipelago sits off the northeast tip of Sardinia, a scattered constellation of granite islands rising from water so transparent it barely looks real. The national park status, granted in 1994, means these islands have been spared the development that changed so much of the Mediterranean coast. What you see today is remarkably close to what sailors saw a century ago.
This is our most requested charter route. The crossing from Palau or Porto Cervo takes less than an hour, but the change in atmosphere is immediate. Traffic disappears. The coastline empties. Every cove you anchor in feels like a private discovery. The water shifts between shades of turquoise, emerald, and sapphire depending on the depth and the time of day.
A full-day La Maddalena charter typically covers three to four islands, with swimming stops, a lunch anchor at one of the sheltered bays, and a slow cruise through the channels between islands where the granite formations take on sculptural shapes.
